The keynote speakers for RubyWorld Conference 2022 have been decided. We invite Yukihiro Matsumoto who is the creator of Ruby, and Aaron Patterson who is on the Rails core team and the Ruby core team.
The title will be announced later. Please look forward to it!
Yukihiro "Matz" Matsumoto is the creator of the recently popular Ruby language. He started development of Ruby in 1993, so it's actually as old as Java. Now he works for Network Applied Communication Laboratory Inc. (NaCl, also known as netlab.jp) which has sponsored Ruby development since 1997. He also serves as a chairman of the Ruby Association, a non-profit organization focused on supporting Ruby. Since his real name is too long to remember and is difficult for non-Japanese speakers to pronounce correctly, he uses the nickname Matz on the Net.
Shopify Inc. Senior Staff Engineer
Aaron Patterson is on the Rails core team, the Ruby core team, and is a full-time Ruby developer working at Shopify based in Ontario, Canada. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, playing with cats, and writing weird software.
